In 2012, Cecilia Gimenez attempted to restore a fresco of Jesus Christ, otherwise known as "Ecce Homo." The restoration was almost a new piece completely, becoming a laughing stock and being newly referred to as Monkey Jesus. It is now impossible to restore to its original state. Despite the horrific job, restoration of Borja's tourist population took place, attracting many visitors to the village.
